This time of year, we tend to look back at what we did or did not accomplish.  What goals did you set last year that did not come to fruition?  What should you have done that you did not?  Did you stay disciplined quarter to quarter, or did you lose focus, get derailed, distracted and full of self-doubt?  Yes?

So, now what?  Do you sell the farm and move to greener pastures?

There is a story about a farmer during the Dustbowl of 1934.  During a normal harvest, he would usually fill one hundred trucks full of corn – but this particular year, only a meager and dreadfully disappointing half a truck load was harvested.  Many farmers during this time were counting their “losses” as the fields had not produced an average yield.  But this farmer was counting his blessings as half a truck load produced exactly the same amount…
